Daddy-o has been a great joy to have in our training barn. At two years old he sticks at 14.2 hands. Daddy-O is on his way to being a real eye-catching small Junior Hunter Prospect. He is a bright chestnut with three stockings and a blaze. He shows a ground covering fancy trot and canter in the field. He is very eager to please and training has not been an issue. He works regularly in the round pen, and is now under saddle. With his looks, personality and talent he will make a very nice show hunter.

Daddy-O  remains in light work just to keep him developing mentally and physically.  He hacks in the indoor and the open fields (weather permitting).  Just started cantering under saddle.  He’s got three excellent gaits and a great brain!  I adore this little guy.

Daddy-O has now been to two shows.  We took him to both of the Lucky Farm Beginner Shows in July and August.  (What a beautiful facility!).  Showed indoors in Beginner Hunter Walk-Trot, and Beginner Hunter Walk-Trot Poles.  He championed both times!  I think I will give him the rest of the year off — he’s already done everything that he should be doing by now!!

Daddy-O has a new sales price that reflects his substantial increase in value now that he is under saddle.  We are walking and trotting indoors and out, as well as working on free-jumping.

Daddy-O and I rode out in the field today!  We even trotted a bit!  We wrapped up by riding over to the neighbor’s and then down the driveway to visit the new filly in the baby pasture.  He is so much fun!

Daddy-O is now under saddle!!  It was a total “non-event”, just the way we like it!
