Qualen’s Gangrels Farm is a family-owned Welsh Pony breeding farm located in Central Indiana. Qualen’s Gangrels specializes in hand-raising and starting high-quality Welsh and Half-Welsh ponies. With over 40 years experience riding, training, and showing Hunters and Jumpers, Qualen’s Gangrels’ program is geared toward the production of well-behaved, true to type Hunter ponies. Our broodmares are all Welsh or Welsh crossbred ponies with highly desirable bloodlines and excellent conformation. They are matched with either our own stallion or outstanding stallions from other farms. Qualen’s Gangrels Farm produces a very small crop of foals each year, which ensures that each youngster receives a great deal of hands-on attention and education. Our mission is to turn out ponies that have a very solid educational foundation which enables them to blossom into dependable and safe childrens’ mounts.

Have fun exploring our website.  Please note:  most of our youngsters are available for purchase to approved situations.  Please inquire if you are interested!

The following is a testimonial from Cortland Hendrick, owner and trainer at Cornerstone Farm in St. Jacob, IL:

“QG Farm has become our go to place when we are looking for pony hunter prospects!  Not only do they stand one of the finest pony stallions in the States today, but the babies are brought up with daily hands-on attention and love.  We have had the pleasure of training and showing four of QG’s ponies and all of them have been gentle, willing and very people-oriented horses.  They are wonderful friends to even our youngest riders.  Add to that the athleticism and movement we have come to expect from breeding operations of this caliber, and you’ll find a winning combination.  As someone who trains a lot of show ponies, I can say without hesitation that Sally’s are the easiest I have ever worked with.  QG Farm produces not only top of the line competitors, but some of the best companions in the industry as well!”
